Allaga
Allaga Project
Allaga is a fresh collective brand representing Egyptian heritage with a modern twist launched by a group of Young Designers.
The brand was launched and established to support young Egyptian fashion designers as a part of a joint project between the German Arab Chamber of Commerce, The Fashion & Design Centre, German Global Project Partners and Bazaar Berlin.
This project was for both entrepreneurs and trainers in Egypt, sponsored by develoPPP.de program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) via SEQUA gGmbH.
Outcomes:
-“Allaga” fashion brand was established with a marketing concept, spun off in November 2016, owned and managed by 10 designers-mainly women.
-“Ethnic Fashion Design course” was developed and added to FDC training courses.
– The Young designers acquired skills for their self-employment and formed a fair network in the market with handicrafts groups as well as with a field of experts.
-Training of trainers qualified them to lead the team and to move forward with the managing of the brand.
